Who should attend?

This 2 day beginner’s course is aimed at industrial engineers and technicians who need to maintain Programmable Logic Controller systems and who are likely to carry out fault finding.

Why is this course important?

The course provides detailed grounding in PLC concepts such as inputs/outputs, ladder logic and fault finding, which is essential for maintaining uptime and performance of machines/processes.

Delegates will learn to practically wire up PLC systems and then carry out programming using Siemens PLC controllers. The focus is on principles and techniques which apply to all PLC platforms. The practical work is carried out on Siemens S7-1200 Software and TIA Portal Programming Software

This is a hands-on practical course. Delegates will be expected to read electrical schematics, and implement simple PLC systems on Waterside’s electrical training rigs.
