Entry Criteria & Qualities

For admittance for all Waterside Apprenticeship programmes you will need to demonstrate the following criteria and complete an application form:

  • You will have (or hope to achieve) at least 5 GCSE’s at Grades A - C in Mathematics, English, Science plus two other technology based subjects (e.g. Design Technology, Electronics, Design, Graphics, Resistant Materials) or equivalent AS or A Level Qualifications, you will need to provide proof of your grades via Certificates or via target grade reports.
  • You must have a genuine interest in a Scientific, Technical, Manufacturing, Engineering or Refractory related career and be able to demonstrate your interest in your specific area of application
  • Can demonstrate your communication and teamwork skills and work both independently and in a team, showing good organisation skills
  • You must be able to demonstrate your practical abilities and/or knowledge skills in the relevant area
  • Successful applicants are always self motivated, organised, proactive, reliable and prepared to commit themselves fully to the requirements of this demanding but exciting training opportunity. Successful applicants possess the following qualities:
