We hope you’ve had a great summer and are ready to return for another year of learning and development with Waterside Training.

Below you’ll find everything you need to know about when your classes start and your day release arrangements. For details around  key term dates for the 2026/27 academic year click here 

When Do I Return?

BTEC Learners – 2nd year students

College term starts week commencing Monday 7 September 2026 for those going into their 2nd year of study. Check the table below for your day release day.

HNC & HND Students

HNC and HND classes start week commencing Monday 14 September 2026.Check the table below for your day release day.

Details of enrolment sessions for students starting their first year of HNC or HND have been sent via email. But generally, enrolment will take place the week before your class starts (as an example if you are due to start on Wednesday 16th September, your enrolment session will be Wednesday 9th September. All enrolment sessions will start at 9am.)

Please make sure you attend your allocated enrolment session before classes begin or if you can’t attend email Mark Beesley on [email protected] to arrange an alternative.

There are HNC Electrical groups running across both Tuesday and Wednesday. When you complete your enrolment, you will be advised which day you will be attending.

If you have a preference for a particular day, please let your enrolling tutor know at the time of enrolment and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

All HNC/D students will be required to bring a promise to pay letter from your employer  with a purchase order  number on to confirm your place.

Students progressing from year 1 to year 2 of the HNC/D do not need to re-enrol.

Make sure you know which day you are expected to attend before your first day back.

Classes start at 9.00am, so please ensure you arrive in plenty of time and clock in at Waterside reception.

Remember to wear your branded company clothing, Waterside lanyard and student badge when on site and correct PPE when in workshops.
