Phil is a qualified Manufacturing and Engineering Assessor responsible for carrying our reviews and assessments on apprentices and specialises in reviewing 1st and 2nd year apprentices. Phil mentors and coaches the apprentices at the start of their apprenticeship programme engaging with both employers, and apprentices in providing progress/feedback in guiding apprentices into ways of work.

Previously, Phil started his engineering career as an ex-Lakeside Pilkington apprentice before serving over 40 years as a Manufacturing Operator, Assessor and Manager within Pilkington in both Manufacturing and Engineering areas before joining Waterside in 2022 to commence an assessing role to help give back experiences to apprentices. Phil can provide a wealth of guidance and experience, mentoring apprentices within both engineering and manufacturing areas.
