For apprentices who attend the full five-day model during year 1, you will start your apprenticeship by attending Waterside Training Centre to complete foundation training in a variety of skills covering, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, manufacture and welding dependant on your discipline and programme over the period of September through to June during year 1 of the programme. During this period, you will also cover other personal development training to supplement your training covering a range of health and safety programmes and specific training to enable to provide you with the skills you need prior to attending site-based training.
